Bob Lord is the Democratic candidate for Congress in Arizona's 3rd Congressional Distrct. He is running to make bold changes to the direction our country is currently headed. Bob's priorities are the same as those of Arizonans -- making sure the war on terrorism is smart and effective; creating a national energy policy that weans us off our dependence on oil; enacting realistic, workable immigration reforms; reversing the growth of our national debt; and giving Arizonans access to the quality health care they deserve.

Bob was born on October 20, 1956 in Washington D.C. Bob and his wife, Tammy, currently live in Phoenix. They have seven children, Benjamin, Zachary, Kirsta, Diedre, Samuel, Bennet, and Seth.

He has a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA from the University of Maryland. After business school, Bob went on to George Washington University where he earned his Juris Doctorate.

He began his career as an attorney in New York City where he lived until moving to Arizona in 1987. Currently, Bob is an attorney at Buchalter Nemer in Scottsdale. Bob has taught tax law at Arizona State University's School of Law and Western International University, and is currently a lecturer at the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business.

Bob has been a resident, attorney, husband, father and leader in Arizona's Third Congressional District since 1987. For twenty years he has been closely involved in his community. He is a graduate of Valley Leadership Class XIV and served for six years as a Commissioner on the Scottsdale Airport Advisory Commission. Bob also has served on the boards of the Scottsdale Bar Association, the Valley Citizens League, and the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix. He also serves as a disciplinary hearing officer for the Arizona Supreme Court.
